The DaVinci Codes [1]

Another mystery, which remains a mystery for many who don't know the Word of God, but is an opportunity to expose an ungodly way to make money. Yes, 3,000,000 copies sold (list price $ 25.00 ea.) of a story already dealt with in court in 1993. A Frenchman called Pierre Plantard (who added the name of Saint Clair) claimed to be a blood descendant of Mary Magdalene (and Jesus), through a created series of documents (1960-70), showing to the present day his direct lineage through the kings of France saying the Saint Clairs were direct descendants of the line of Jesus and Mary. This claim produced a scandal involving Plantard's friend, president Francois Mitterrand, for which the court ordered a search of Plantard's house, which revealed further documents that proclaimed him to be the true king of France. Plantard, under oath, admitted he had made up the whole "Priory of Sion" scheme. The judge gave Plantard a stern warning and dismissed him as a harmless crank.[2]

However, Plantard's scheme, became the springboard for Dan Brown to write "The Da Vinci Codes". His novel is full of intrigues and murderers along with many myths, false doctrine, and dishonor to Jesus, the Bible, and the reality of the only way to God. He mistakenly uses expressions as "born again", "believers", and "true followers of the way" when he's referring to unregenerate religious people, causing confusion in which he himself is involved. In his novel, Jesus' resurrection is denied, (and Jesus' virgin birth – p. 342). Instead he writes that Jesus had sexual relations with Mary Magdalene, who gave birth to Sarah, whose lineage that is traced down to the present time, and covered secretly in codes like in Da Vinci's paintings (Mona Lisa and Last Supper).

All this intrigue, and after many people died trying to reveal this secret to the world, ends up with his main character, Langdon, worshipping Mary Magdalene on his knees, and "he thought he heard a woman's voice…the wisdom of ages…whispering up from the chasms of the earth (p. 454)." In other words, the murders done to prevent the whole "Christian" world from knowing "the truth" and lose their "faith", makes them look like they are doing a wonderful thing killing all those involved in revealing this "mystery" and now, at the story's end, the lie becomes part once again, the continuation of a farce with the novel's first character heading it. Without realizing it, the author is blending perfectly in the Catholic world, ignoring totally the reality of the Bible that is witnessing against himself and on all those identified with Catholicism, which follows the Roman's traditions and myths instead of God's Word: the Bible. The novel helps the dead to entertain the dead.

The writer many times uses foul language, and in his ignorance of the Word of God, finds in an accidentally wet papyrus a mysterious code leading to the word APPLE as the "symbol of the fall (p. 425)," which once again shows the biblical ignorance and worldly Catholic mentality which identifies the "forbidden fruit" with an apple. However, this is just a hint of the confusion existing throughout the book. Isis, Venus, Baphomet, Freemasonry, secret societies, Zodiac and all types of pagan cultic practices are considered worthwhile and truthful. On the other hand, one of novel's leading statements says that "the New Testament is a false testimony (p. 341)." Also, Jesus' miracles are considered "religious allegories…[which] helps millions of people to cope and be better people (p. 342)," and loaded with all type of heresies found in the apocrypha's "secret gospel". The highest spiritual level the writer attains on his "truth" (a word that many times he uses to carry on the novel's mystery) is at the moment of sexual union, seeing it as a "spiritual act (pp. 308-310)."

The whole work can be considered from biblical perspective as trash at best, and blasphemy if it's Dan Brown's answer accepted as true, when he's declaring himself to be a Christian (see www.danbrown.com). Today, this man, like multitudes of multitudes, are claiming to be Christians as they walk in life despising and dishonoring the only name given among men in which they might be saved: YESHUA/JESUS, talking and writing about the Word of God with contempt, placing themselves on a higher ground. We must realize our Lord's own words, "Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34)." However, we must let them know that they're playing with their own destiny, and also those willingly entertaining themselves with this perverse literature are heading for a place that is prepared for the devil and his angels.
